Our Hootsuite Tutorial

If you have yet to hear about Hootsuite today is your lucky day.

For businesses or even individuals; Hootsuite has some functionalities for both. It is a free or paid online service which allows you to see and post to all of your social media accounts from one simple dashboard. It can even scan your blog posts and automatically update all of your appointed social media accounts automatically. While I won’t go over all of the features (there are a lot) I will go over the basics. Such as creating an account and setting it up to pull from your website’s blog and post directly to social media.

To start, visit: https://hootsuite.com/plans/free

Check out the video below to learn how to setup your Hootsuite Account!

Here are the most common WordPress feed urls:
http://example.com/?feed=rss
http://example.com/?feed=rss2
http://example.com/?feed=rdf
http://example.com/?feed=atom

If you are using custom permalinks, the feed url may look like this:

http://example.com/feed/
http://example.com/feed/rss/
http://example.com/feed/rss2/
http://example.com/feed/rdf/
http://example.com/feed/atom/

What I didn’t cover in the video:

Hootsuite has a multitude of other options for a low fee of $9.99/month. Such as the ability to add more than two RSS Feeds and a comprehensive analytics center to view your post reach and clicks.

If social media is important to you I would highly recommend upgrading from the free version.
